David Moyes’ side have struggled at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this season, so it was a really important victory against the Clarets.
Everton have moved on to 43 points and are just one point behind seventh-placed Brentford, who occupy a Conference League spot.

However, against Burnley, Gueye produced perhaps his best performance of the season. Even the commentary team were stunned by how good he was.
Martin Keown noticed that he seemed to get better as the game went on, which amplifies his terrific fitness levels.

The former PSG midfielder was so close to netting a wondergoal, as he thundered one off the crossbar, having won back possession himself, which sums up his display.
Gueye is one of six Everton players out of contract at the end of the season, so a decision will have to be made on his future over the coming months.
If he continues to perform at that level, Moyes and his chiefs will more than likely extend his deal by another year.
