Everton would almost certainly be relegated without Jordan Pickford.
That is how important the England international has been for the club in recent years.
However, it seems the rest of the country is incapable of recognising what a talent they have before them, despite his continued performances for both club and country.
Well, at least Danny Murphy has started to shed some light on the left-footed superstar, speaking live on air about Pickford.
What Danny Murphy said about Jordan Pickford
Chatting to talkSPORT earlier today (06/03, 12:10 pm), the former Liverpool midfielder was effusive in his praise for the £30m shot-stopper.
The progression made in recent years was what really caught his eye, as his maturity has really started to shine through for club and country.

He noted: ‘There is nobody close. He has been brilliant for England, you can’t deny that. He has had his ups and downs for Everton.
‘I actually think since 2022 when he started working with Steve Peters his temperament has improved tremendously. He still has the odd moment but I think he is in a different place when he plays now, I see that anyway.
‘I know people jump on the odd remonstration after the goal and he has a pop and someone but more often than not his behaviour is much calmer and I think it benefits him.’
How important has Jordan Pickford been for Everton?
It is near-impossible to quantify just how important Pickford has been for Everton in recent years.
However, perhaps by detailing the love the fanbase has for him is enough to showcase a glimpse of it, as very few from this troublesome relegation-threatened period have become heroes.
The 29-year-old is a special case though, as a funny, bombastic and unpredictable character who has matured into one of the Premier League’s top goalkeepers.
Having been renowned for his ability to pull off stunning saves he had no right to make, there were question marks over his attitude and attention span. After all, he was prone to mistakes in his earlier years.
But the rate at which he has cut them out, but retained that world-class shot stopping, is what sets him apart.

He is only now getting the plaudits he has deserved for years, as Everton boasts the fourth-best defence in the division. This summer marks yet another opportunity to strut his stuff on the world stage with England too.
