Everton fans are patiently awaiting the complete construction of their Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.
It, alongside this ongoing appeal verdict, is arguably the most sought-after conclusion on Merseyside, but for wildly differing reasons.
On that matter, fans merely want to know their fate now, so they can know just how far away from safety they will end up with three months left of the Premier League season. Sean Dyche is in a similar boat, as he cannot really motivate his players according to their league position.
However, when it comes to their soon-to-be new home, the anxiety surrounding that wait is shrouded in positivity.
It promises to usher in an era of peace and prosperity after years of misery, and the principle lead has just offered an update that supports this.
What Bramley-Moore Dock’s Principle Lead just said live on Sky
Speaking live on Sky Sports (8:00 am), the principal lead of the Bramley-Moore Dock’s construction, Alix Waldron, would offer a whole host of updates on the arena set to be completed later this calendar year.
She first offered a glimpse into the scale of the build, noting: ‘We’ll see about 13,000 increase in capacity compared to what we’ve got at Goodison, including about 4,000 extra in our all spaces compared to what we have now. So it’s a real step change for us from what we’re used to, but I think once it’s full of Evertonians on a match day it’ll be incredible.’
She would then go on to detail the plethora of exciting opportunities for fans to explore: ‘We’ve got a variety of offerings, from your really fine dining experiences to your boxes to your more open spaces, but then as you say an actual street within one of the stands, so that people can kind of transition between different bars and feel like they’re just out on a Saturday night in town.‘
‘As I said, a 365 destination means people that can come and utilise their bars and restaurants on a non-matchday, could be whole concerts here, could be whole non-football events, could be utilised the fan plaza for smaller concerts as well and other events like you would normally see down on the pier head.
‘I mean the opportunities are endless down here is really exciting. It gives you goosebumps a little bit I think when you see it, so yeah really excited for the first game down here although it’ll be incredibly emotional to leave Goodison.’

Not only will that increased capacity offer a timely boost to the revenue, but the fact that this modern new arena will be one of England’s most state-of-the-art venues, these new avenues that Goodison Park simply could not explore will see untapped markets revealed.
As such, so many different commercial opportunities are set to emerge, which will hopefully provide enough financial power to pull the club out of the mire.
Their off-pitch issues have been well-documented, but the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium seems set to answer some of them.
The hope is that, not only will it provide an ample cash injection to aid their fiscal strife, but also revolutionise the club’s mentality and turn them into a force once again.
