Everton and Nottingham Forest are set to learn their PSR fate imminently, with the latter potentially even expecting a decision today.
After all, their case was heard on March 7th and 8th, and a decision had to then be made within a week of that conclusion. So, there have been murmurs that a subsequent decision is therefore right around the corner.
It is a prospect that the Toffees will be all too familiar with, given they have already been dealt with and successfully appealed one points deduction. That should, in theory, reduce any potential sentence they might receive in the coming weeks.
Forest might not been so fortunate though.
Regardless, Jeff Stelling has been left stunned by the Premier League’s conduct throughout this period.
What Jeff Stelling said about Everton and Nottingham Forest
Speaking earlier this morning, live on talkSPORT, the former Sky Sports Soccer Saturday presenter was flabbergasted by the manner in which these issues have been dealt with by such a huge organisation.
After all, it is noted that, upon appeal, this process could end up being dragged out until beyond the conclusion of the Premier League season.

How can that be allowed? How does that encourage sporting integrity? These are questions Stelling desperately asked, with an answer unlikely to come anytime soon.
He claimed: ‘It’s a mess, isn’t it? The fact that in the case of Forest, if they appeal, the outcome of that appeal will not be known until after the end of the season. Ditto Everton as well. How can that be allowed to happen?’
The Premier League are removing sporting integrity
In potentially deciding the fate of the relegation battle off the pitch and after the season is over, the Premier League have removed all sporting integrity from their product.
After all, what is the point in giving your all and striving for safety, when those in a courtroom could just expunge that in one fell swoop?

Everton are unlikely to be dealt with another significant sanction, but Forest, given it is their first offence, should be treated similarly to how the Toffees were earlier in the season.
This PSR debacle, which has dominated the campaign really, exhibits everything that is wrong with modern football.
A sport built up by hard-working everyday people has been ripped from their grasp, monetised to the extreme level where those supporters are now largely priced out, and now decided by the rich few at the top seeking to enforce what little power they have left.
More fuss needs to be made about this situation, as The Esk has called for protests against Everton’s potential new ownership. This marks a searing example of the sharp decline of the sport we grew to love because of what happened on the pitch, not off it.
