Everton’s team spirit seems like it has never been better as the Blues look to do something incredibly special this season.
David Moyes has put together a strong group of players with a good balance between their ability and attitude.
It has even been suggested that Jack Grealish is Moyes’ favourite player at Everton, with James Tarkowski saying he’d even have the winger around for dinner.
As will be the case at all clubs, there will be some players at Everton who get the special treatment.
Moyes has been able to depend on James Garner as his utility man on Merseyside, playing across multiple positions
However, the 24-year-old midfielder has admitted there is one player who is constantly late at Finch Farm.

James Garner names and shames Everton player always late
Moyes was delighted with Everton’s summer signings as he welcomed nine new faces to the club.
But it is one of the new faces to land on Merseyside that has quickly developed a reputation for being late into training at Finch Farm.
Speaking on the Everton YouTube channel, Garner has named Jack Grealish for his poor punctuality since joining from Manchester City.
If you were Dan Friedkin, how much would you be willing to pay Man City for Jack Grealish? 💰
When asked what he would gift Grealish for Christmas, Garner replied: “Jack Grealish, I’d get him a watch because he’s never on time.”
James Tarkowski claimed Grealish is Moyes’ favourite player at Everton, which may provide the 30-year-old with some lenience over what he can get away with at Finch Farm.
That being said, Moyes also wants Tyler Dibling to learn from Grealish, but his punctuality is clearly not the Englishman’s strong point.
Jack Grealish still needs to show more for Everton move
There is no doubt that the 30-year-old has brought improvement to what Everton had last season with the likes of Jack Harrison on the wing.
Erling Haaland has even been impressed with Grealish after keeping a close eye on his good friend since moving to Merseyside.
With two to his name so far, how many goals would make a good season for Jack Grealish? 👊
However, it must be remembered that Grealish is on big wages and would demand a big fee.
A return of two goals so far may not quite be enough to convince the decision-makers at Everton to pull the trigger in the summer.
Moyes is demanding more goals from Grealish – albeit the 62-year-old is pleased with his four assists.
It has been suggested that Everton would need to negotiate Grealish’s buy clause with Manchester City before signing him permanently.
