Thierno Barry was the match-winner for Everton against Aston Villa – and Jamie Redknapp gave his verdict on the striker after the game.
Everton moved into the top half of the Premier League following the 1-0 victory at Villa Park, which is potentially the club’s best result of the season.
Everything had pointed to a home win before kick-off.

David Moyes was still missing a number of key players, and Villa – likely buoyed after seeing Arsenal and Manchester City drop points – had been so good at home for so long.
But Moyes produced a tactical masterclass, with every Everton player carrying out his job superbly.
And it was a big day for Barry, who’s now on a run of three goals in four Premier League games – and Jamie Redknapp was full of praise for the Frenchman.

It has not been an easy transition for Barry.
He arrived in the summer for big money, and is still quite young at 23.
In recent weeks though we’ve seen improvements, and this display against Villa was potentially his best to date. And it drew a lot of praise from Redknapp in the Sky Sports studio after the game.
He said: “I felt his pain earlier in the season, it was difficult to watch. Nothing was going in for him.
“The manager helps, you keep playing and all of a sudden it’s three in his last four and he’s in good form.
“He might not have got man of the match like he wanted. But it was almost Roy Keane wasn’t it? ‘That’s my job’, and it is his job! He took it so well, as well.
Barry has arrived for Everton
There is still plenty of work for Barry to do and he can further improve.
But the Frenchman is finally starting to look like he’s got something about him, and that he could be a hit in the Premier League.

He took that goal amazingly well against Villa, showing great reactions to get the ball and then wonderful awareness to dink the ball over Martinez.
It was the sign of a player who is growing in confidence, which bodes really well for Everton.
He must now embrace this moment, and look to kick on. He’s found his feet, and now it’s time to take things to the next level.
