Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has a new dream to achieve after signing his new contract on Merseyside.

There have been plenty of issues for Everton over recent years both on and off the pitch prior to the takeover last December.

David Moyes has been able to bring some major improvements to Merseyside since the turn of the year.

Having battled relegation in recent seasons, Pickford has been one of the few bright sparks in what has been a turbulent past few years.

Hence, when Pickford recently signed a new contract at Everton, the news came as a huge boost to the Toffees.

The 31-year-old has played a huge role for England, which has Darren Bent claiming Pickford is too good for Everton.

Having inked his new deal, Pickford has now shared what he is dreaming of doing next in his career.

Jordan Pickford shares next career dream after Everton contract

Pickford has admitted his biggest regret is the Euros final, which saw Italy lift the trophy after a penalty shootout at Wembley Stadium.

Next summer will provide the goalkeeper with an opportunity to right some of the wrongs in the 2026 World Cup.

Speaking on the Men in Blazers podcast, Pickford has shared his dream of lifting the World Cup trophy in the United States.

“I need to keep pushing myself and I need to get even better. The challenge then becomes a challenge for the lads who want to challenge me to try and step up,” he said.

“Lifting that trophy and Donald Trump giving it to Harry Kane after,” Pickford joked when asked what his dream is in football.

Charlie Austin says Pickford needs more recognition for the commitment he has shown at Everton during his career.

But his efforts in an England shirt cannot be denied, with Pickford already winning over Thomas Tuchel after his early concerns.

Pickford also wants to create Hill Dickinson Stadium legacy

Tim Howard is worried about Pickford beating his Everton records on the back of his new contract being inked.

However, Pickford is looking to go one better and bring silverware to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the very first time.

“We’ve got a lot of history at Goodison Park as a football club; you can go back years and years. There’s so much history behind, but it’s about how we can create that new chapter of history,” said Pickford.

“We have an opportunity and we want to be a part of that at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.”

Moyes was slammed for his Carabao Cup team selection against Wolves earlier in the season, which saw the Blues dumped out of the tournament.

This leaves Everton with just the FA Cup to compete for this season and it would be something truly special if silverware was brought to the new stadium in its very first season.
