James Garner, Jack Harrison, and Dwight McNeil have all been tipped to shine for Everton this season.

Journalist Paul Brown, speaking to GiveMeSport, has named James Garner, Dwight McNeil, and Jack Harrison as a trio of Everton stars to keep an eye on this season.

Harrison arrived at Goodison Park on a season-long loan switch from Leeds United in the recent summer transfer window. However, his bow for the Toffees was delayed, as he arrived with an injury.

Having finally come into the team in recent weeks, the 26-year-old winger has hit the ground running and opened his account for the Merseyside outfit in spectacular fashion against Bournemouth last time out.

Garner, meanwhile, joined Everton in a £15 million move from Manchester United in the summer of 2022. After a slow first campaign at the club, the £30,000-a-week ace now looks to be flourishing.

Sean Dyche is very familiar with McNeil’s qualities. He worked with the winger when the 23-year-old was at Burnley. Now reunited at Everton, Dyche looks to be once more inspiring the best out of the former England under-21 international.

Everton trio backed for triumphant term

Discussing these three Everton stars, Brown said, “McNeil seems to be slowly becoming a consistent and important performer for Dyche. He’s very sound defensively when they need him in those areas. He can score goals, and I think he’s become important to the way Everton attack.”

“I think those three [Garner, Harrison and McNeil] have a bright future and could play a big part this season.”

If all three can stay fit and in form this season then that would be a huge boost for Dyche. Certainly, if Harrison stays at Everton for the long-term, then these three could form the nucleus of a new-look Toffees team and impress for the club for years to come.

Whilst there are still questions over how Everton will cope defensively this season, they do now look to have some very exciting options going forwards. Given they were so abject in front of goal last season, this represents a major step forward for the club.
