Everton could already be set to lose Beto, only five months after he arrived from Udinese.
According to newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are considering a surprise move for the striker in January.
Beto looked to be a rather exciting signing for Everton when he arrived in a £25.8 million deal in August.
The forward scored his first goal on his debut in a Carabao Cup win over Doncaster Rovers, before making a ‘promising’ first start against Sheffield United.
However, the recent form of Dominic Calvert-Lewin has seen Beto’s appearances limited, playing only 66 minutes in the Premier League since he was dropped from the starting line-up.
At only 25, Beto still has plenty of time to prove himself in the English top flight and is a very capable replacement for Calvert-Lewin if he gets injured again.
However, it now looks like he could already be on his way out after Juventus included him on a four-man shortlist for the January transfer window.

The Italian giants face losing Dusan Vlahovic in the near future and see Beto as a potential replacement, as well as the likes of Jonathan David, Alvaro Morata and Victor Boniface.
Juventus have struggled with their finances recently so it’s unclear how much they would be willing to pay for Beto, though they would surely bring in a significant fee for Vlahovic’s exit.
Should Everton sell Beto already?
Everton would be silly to move Beto on already, especially considering the potential he has shown. It is just unfortunate for him that Calvert-Lewin has started to show glimmers of his old self in recent months.
However, Beto could be tempted by a move to Serie A – especially if it meant regular game-time. Massimiliano Allegri’s side currently sit second in the league table and could return to Champions League football next season.
