Everton are in a truly dire position right now, and it feels like with each new piece of information coming to light, their stance only worsens.

Financially hamstrung and only continuing to ship precious funds as the weeks go by, a reliance on 777 Partners has formed due to Farhad Moshiri‘s abandonment of the club he once promised to return to the top.

‘We don’t want to be a museum’, the Iranian billionaire promised some seven years ago. Well, if anything he has turned the club into more of a burial site than anything.

His failures as an owner are some of the most well-documented, and this latest set of accounts only helps to reaffirm such a notion. His failure will go down in history.

Kieran Maguire gives damning assessment of Everton’s accounts

Well, amidst all the turmoil, football finance expert Kieran Maguire has emerged to try and make sense of it all.

And whilst he has provided a huge thread breaking down all the movements behind their relentless outgoings, there was one tweet in particular which caught the eye.

Clearly seeking to emphasise the scale of Moshiri’s failure at Everton, he would provide a truly damning statistic that almost sums up his entire spell at Goodison Park.

He wrote: ‘Since Farhad Moshiri bought Everton, the club has lost more money than any other in the Premier League, despite making a profit in the first year on the back of selling Romelu Lukaku.’

This is only exacerbated due to the poor league finishes that have persisted throughout this period too.

Farhad Moshiri has ruined Everton

It has truly been a cataclysmic few years under this ownership, and this season and season of misspending has finally caught up with them.

Having already been dealt with a first points deduction, and now awaiting the outcome on their second PSR case heard just last week, the bad news seemingly never ends.

And now with the emergence of these accounts, which report double the losses for the 2022/23 campaign, there is little chance of such misery easing.

Moshiri has ruined this club, with his lack of foresight, long-term planning and appointment skills all combining to forge this perfect storm.s

Well, more like a hurricane.

This self-inflicted natural disaster threatens the very existence of the football club, and all because Moshiri thought he knew best. That is now a claim laughed at amongst Evertonians.
