Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall believes Everton outcast Nathan Patterson offers the club a huge personality that may go under the radar.

Everton have progressed massively this season, and smart signings like that of Dewsbury-Hall have certainly played their part.

There has been a lot of change on Merseyside since The Friedkin Group took over, and more will be on the way with summer departures.

Seven games left and on 46 points – how many points do you expect Everton to finish on? 🤔

Patterson is expected to leave Everton over the coming months, which will leave a big hole in the Finch Farm dressing room.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall hails Nathan Patterson’s Everton impact

Although he may not be playing regularly, Patterson has kept his head held high and offered a big character behind the scenes.

Speaking on A View From The Bullens’ Patreon page, Dewsbury-Hall waxed lyrical about the Scottish full-back.

There are some real leaders proving themselves in this Everton side! 💪

“There’s plenty. You’ve got the obviously big personalities like Seamus [Coleman], [Jordan] Pickford, Jack [Grealish], and [James] Tarkowski, but some that go under the radar are also great lads,” he said.

“Patto’s always winding people up, and he’s got that Scottish banter, which is funny.

“So there are different levels, but everyone merges together, which is a good thing. We’ve got that connection. You know, in some dressing rooms it can be a bit separate, but everyone talks to each other and everyone gets along, which I think is important to create a good culture.”

Patterson has admitted this season has been difficult at Everton given the lack of minutes he has played under David Moyes.

David Moyes has made Patterson’s Everton future clear

Patterson has played a mere 239 minutes of Premier League football this season under Moyes.

Jake O’Brien played through illness for Everton despite Moyes having Patterson as a fit and available option to replace him in the starting XI.

Playing the Irishman out of his natural position in place of the Scot is a damning statement on just where he stands in the Everton pecking order.

Moyes has admitted he wants to sign a new right-back and has looked for one ever since he returned to the club last January.

With one year remaining on his deal, Patterson’s future appears to be elsewhere.
