Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has just sent a damning message to Everton’s strikers.
Everton were able to salvage a late point in their trip to Brentford on Saturday through Dewsbury-Hall.
The Toffees have kept up in the race for Europe, but the Everton goalscorer has admitted Brentford striker Igor Thiago should act as an example for Beto and Thierno Barry.
Who was your Man of the Match in that crunch game? 💪
Ironically, Beto did get on the scoresheet, but more is being demanded from the Everton frontmen.

Everton want more from their strikers
Beto headed Everton level inside the first-half following Thiago’s penalty to open the scoring.
Thiago’s goal against the Toffees was his 21st of the Premier League season, and Dewsbury-Hall admitted that is what Everton need.
Sum that one up for us, Blues! 🤩
“Look at Brentford’s striker this season, the amount of goals he’s scored, and that is unbelievable for a team that is not expected to finish high,” said Dewsbury-Hall.
| Season | Competition | Apps | Goals | Assists | Minutes |
| 2025/26 | Premier League | 31 | 21 | 1 | 2,659′ |
| EFL Cup | 1 | 1 | 0 | 30′ | |
| TOTAL | 40 | 22 | 1 | 2,858′ |
“His goals are putting them in a position to do well. If our strikers can do that then we know we have a good chance of getting the points.”
Moyes demanded that Beto maintained his run of form, and he was able to find the back of the net in west London.
However, Everton’s strikers have not been able to show anything like what Thiago has for Brentford this season.
Everton must invest in a top-quality striker this summer
There was not a lot wrong with Beto’s performance on Saturday. In fact, he played well.
But Dewsbury-Hall has summed it up pretty well in suggesting Everton need a striker capable of scoring 21 times a season to really push on.
Neither Beto nor Barry have shown anything like the form Thiago has demonstrated this season.
Moyes was open to signing another striker last summer, but there can be no excuses this time around for not providing the 62-year-old with what he wants ahead of the new season.
