Everton have officially completed the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea.

The Toffees are paying £28m to sign Dewsbury-Hall and he has penned a contract running through until 2030.

The former Leicester City talisman admitted that it was a really easy decision to leave Chelsea for Everton.

“I’m honestly very excited, my family’s excited,” Dewsbury-Hall said. “There’s a real buzz about this. It feels right for me. So just that alone gives me the motivation and the extra determination to show everybody, to prove a point and have a really successful time here.

“Everton’s one of the biggest clubs in the country, and I think that in the next couple of years, the future is going to be bright. It was an easy decision in the end to come here and play for this club.”

The 26-year-old also revealed the ‘major exciting factor’ that convinced him to join over other interested clubs.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall says Hill Dickinson Stadium convinced him to join Everton

West Ham United and Fulham were both interested in signing Dewsbury-Hall, however, the left-footed playmaker was convinced by Everton due to their new state-of-the-art Hill Dickinson Stadium.

“You look at the stadium – it’s incredible,” Dewsbury-Hall explained.

“Obviously, I’ve played in all of the Premier League stadiums, and this is one of, if not the most impressive, so that in itself is a major, major exciting factor for wanting to join.

“Then the fan base is one of the most passionate in the country, so I know if we start playing well and I start showing the fans what I’m about, it’s going to be a big, big bonus to help me and the team show our best. So that’s what I want.”

David Moyes admits other clubs wanted to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Moyes did make a subtle reference, without naming anybody, that Dewsbury-Hall had the option to join other clubs.

“We are pleased that Kiernan has chosen to join Everton,” the Scotsman said. “He had other clubs interested in signing him but he was excited by the opportunity and the challenge at Everton.

“Kiernan’s quality and experience of the Premier League gives us the hope that he can adapt quickly.

“We look forward to working with him and I’m sure all Evertonians will give him the support he needs.”

Dewsbury-Hall could make his Everton debut on August 9th, when Moyes’ side host AS Roma in the final test event at the Hill Dickinson.
