Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has already established himself as a fan favourite at Everton.

Everton paid Chelsea around £28m for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s signature last summer, and he’s quickly settled in.

David Moyes has been so impressed by Dewsbury-Hall’s impact, as the Toffees midfielder has registered nine goal involvements in the Premier League.

Dewsbury-Hall has been blown away by the Everton fans, explaining that they’ve exceeded his expectations.

With that said, the 27-year-old has also previously pointed out the main difference he’s experienced between Everton and his time at Chelsea.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall loves Everton’s dressing room

Speaking to Everton’s YouTube channel earlier this season, Dewsbury-Hall made an interesting comparison between the Toffees and Chelsea.

He noted that the experienced dressing room at Finch Farm has been a refreshing change from Cobham.

“Every club has different styles,” Dewsbury-Hall stated. My previous club was a very young dressing room… young, exciting prospects with not a lot of experience.

“Whereas I’ve come here and there’s names that have all made over 300 appearances in the Premier League… that’s very tough to do, you have to be a high-level player for many years to do that.

What should be next for Seamus Coleman after his current Everton contract? 🤔

Can he really still provide an impact on the pitch… 😬

“They’re such big personalities, and they really help drive standards and what it means to play for the club.

“I do think you need people like that in the dressing room, especially for the younger lads that’s coming through that we’ve got.

“I’ve been fortunate that I’ve managed to get along with them really well so far and we’ve built very good relationships, and I’m thankful of them for letting me bring my side and them letting me settle in so well.

“I can’t complain at all, it’s a top top dressing room.”

Everton have one of the highest average ages in the Premier League

Interestingly, Everton actually have the third-oldest average age squad in the Premier League, only behind Fulham and Aston Villa.

#TeamAverage age
1Fulham 27.7
2Aston Villa27.3
3Everton 26.6
4Burnley 26.5
5Newcastle United26.4

The Friedkin Group have put in place a new transfer model that places emphasis on recruiting young talent, as they identified Moyes had an ageing squad.

So, this summer will likely see more young players signed to drive down the average age ahead of next season.

Historically, Moyes has always relied on experienced players and values them greatly, so the spine of the team probably won’t change much.
