A big opportunity may be on the cards for Everton in the form of Dusan Vlahovic.
David Moyes is expected to pursue a striker this summer, after there was regular criticism for Beto and Thierno Barry in 2025/26.
The pair scored 17 Premier League goals between them, but the feeling for many is that the Toffees need someone who is a level above.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
Barry in particular struggled.
The Frenchman was brought in for big money last summer, but has had difficult adapting to the English top-flight, with many supporters of the opinion that he does not have enough impact and doesn’t work as intensely as Beto.
A new number nine would be most welcome.
And potentially, Everton may now have a golden chance to land Dusan Vlahovic at long last.
Long standing Everton target Dusan Vlahovic is leaving Juventus

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, and multiple other publications in Italy, Dusan Vlahovic is to leave Juventus this summer and become a free agent.
Vlahovic joined Juve in January 2022 for a whopping €70 million, plus €10 million in performance-related bonuses. This made him one of the most expensive strikers ever at the time.
But he is now going to leave the Italian giants, as no agreement has been reached between player and club to extend his contract.
The reason for there being no agreement is Juventus not bowing to his wage demands.
The development is likely to upset head coach Luciano Spalletti, who previously said of Vlahovic: “We suffered terribly from Vlahovic’s absence. You cannot play football without a player with his characteristics – a physical, strong focal point who scores goals.
“As far as I know, the club has attempted to establish contact regarding a renewal and will try again, because that’s what I’m told, and I trust my directors.”
His status as a free agent will now alert plenty of clubs. And one could be Everton.
Everton were first linked with Vlahovic in March 2025, and then again that summer.
The links have been loose, but with a striker clearly needed this could well be an opportunity for Everton to make a bit of a statement.
The Friedkin Group will quite possibly know a lot about Vlahovic’s qualities having been the owners of AS Roma since 2020.

Ultimately, he’s scored goals fairly regularly throughout whole career, banging in 140 in 321 club matches. He also has 16 in 41 for Serbia.
Of course these are not Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland numbers, but he knows where the net is and Everton might want to make some enquiries.
Wages may be an issue, but this is a move that would excite fans, as Vlahovic could really suit the Premier League.
