Manchester United fans have all been left saying the same thing about Everton’s away support

Everton fans were treated to a rare win at Old Trafford on Monday night in what proved a historic win for the club.

There were a number of firsts on Monday evening, with Everton becoming the first side to win away to Manchester United with only 10 men on the field.

And Idrissa Gana Gueye became the first player to be sent off for striking his own teammate since Ricardo Fuller back in 2008.

David Moyes picked up his first victory away to Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Even Ruben Amorim praised Everton following their victory, with the Portuguese manager defending Gueye despite his red card.

It was a statement win for the Blues, who were able to leapfrog their city rivals in the table and draw level on points with United.

And it was not just United’s manager who had some positive words to say about the Toffees, with the home fans also singing Everton’s praise.

Man United fans wowed by Everton’s away support

Heading into the game on Monday, Roy Keane said Everton have the best away support in the Premier League.

That away section was in full voice at Old Trafford and it is apparent that the home fans were wowed by what they heard.

Taking to social media after the game, United fans waxed lyrical about the travelling Toffees.

One United fan gave Everton’s away support the credit they deserve, saying: ‘Everton’s away fans are the best English fans I’ve seen at Old Trafford’. With another United fan very simply replying: ‘Agreed’.

Everton fans proudly sang Michael Keane’s name at the end of the game following his incident with Gueye in the opening stages of the game.

Everton’s support was loud and proud at Old Trafford, another fan said: The Toffees always turn up in voice.. Unlike their city counterparts.’ Whilst another fan added: ‘Agreed. Proper fans. Sang their hearts out and got the win’.

It was a common theme, with another United fan giving full credit to the travelling fans: ‘Full credit to Everton FC. They played well. Their fans were loud as ever.’ The Toffees could be heard far and wide, as another fan said: ‘Everton are a huge club with a good team and very loud fans. They can go to any ground a win when they play well enough.’

Everton are giving their fans plenty to cheer about

Despite leaving some points on the pitch in various games this season, it has been a strong start to the campaign for Everton.

Heading into this weekend’s game against Newcastle United, three points could Everton as high as fourth in the Premier League table.

Of course, results would have to go in their favour, but that just goes to show how tight the top half of the league currently is.

Moyes has noticed Everton fans have upped their expectations in recent months following their positive summer and start to the term.

After all, it was Moyes who suggested European qualification should be the target for this season.
