Martin Keown has made a prediction that Everton fans will like to hear ahead of their trip to Nottingham Forest.

Speaking on talkSPORT (1st December, 12:56), the former defender tipped the Toffees to claim all three points at the City Ground this weekend.

Everton had taken six wins from their last nine games in all competitions prior to their 10-point deduction that had dragged them back into the relegation zone.

Sean Dyche’s side were expected to be all rallied up for their home tie against Manchester United last time out, however they went onto suffer a 3-0 defeat that has now left them five points from safety.

Everton will remain confident they can return to winning ways tomorrow though, with Nottingham Forest only picking up one win in their last nine games.

They have proven the City Ground to be a very tough place to go though, with Brighton just ending their unbeaten run on home soil that stretched back to April.

Steve Cooper’s side may well have opened the flood gates now though, with Martin Keown predicting another defeat for them in the Midlands.

“I think Everton might pinch something, I think they just might upset the applecart,” he told talkSPORT.

“Because there’s been too many draws from Forest’s point of view this season and Everton might find something more inspired… and away from home and all the noise about the ten points, it just might be easier for them.

“They had a great performance earlier in the season against Brentford, I know there wasn’t too many before that, but I see them getting a win now.”

How will Everton fare against Nottingham Forest this weekend?

Nottingham Forest have scored two more goals than Everton this season, but have also conceded one more. They have one less win, but one less defeat.

The two teams have had quite similar seasons, apart from the Toffees’ bad run already seems to have passed. Or at least they hope.

Sean Dyche will be eager to see his squad bounce back after that defeat to Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag’s side actually very lucky to have earned such a scoreline.

If Everton can find that fighting spirit and determination that they seem to have had in recent games then there is no reason why they can’t hand back-to-back defeats to Nottingham Forest, who are under a lot of pressure to perform at the minute.
