Everton are not just looking to add quality to their first-team squad, they are also eyeing fresh talent for their academy, and Ollie Dewsbury could become the latest addition.
The Toffees have had a quiet couple of weeks after completing three deals.
Fans were pleased to see the arrival of Hayden Hackney, and then Tyrique George and Merlin Rohl signing permanently.

Concerningly, there’s been little movement by the club since.
But it looks like Everton might be set to land a talented youngster for the academy in the form of Bristol Rovers teenager Ollie Dewsbury.
As per the Bristol Post, Dewsbury is training with Everton this week, with a view to signing.
Who is teenage Everton target Ollie Dewsbury?
Ollie Dewsbury was born in Newport, Wales, on 22 February 2008, making him 18 years old.
He has been in the Bristol Rovers academy since the age of seven, and in November 2023, he made his first-team debut for the club.
He became the second-youngest player to ever represent the club at 15 years and 255 days, and is also the youngest to play for the club in the FA Cup.
To date he’s made 22 appearances for the club, having also spent time out on loan with Yate Town, Taunton Town and Weston-super-Mare AFC.

Dewsbury has also played for Wales at every youth level since the U15s. He is currently playing for the U19s.
Last season, Dewsbury’s promise was underlined when he won the ‘Apprentice of the Season’ in League Two following an outstanding breakthrough campaign.
Dewsbury plays as a left winger and can also play through the middle. He has previously touched on his style, saying (via Bristol Rovers’ official website): “People talk about physicality in the senior game as well, and it’s such a big thing, but there are also ways around it. As a striker, I can peel off my marker and get into pockets of space.
“The gaffer spoke to me about different ways of receiving the ball rather than just trying to pin a massive, older centre-back. He used to be a defender so he gave me some great tips. I’ve learned so much from him in training. I want to keep learning, developing and getting better.”
Encouragingly, Rovers also said that Dewsbury ‘speaks with the maturity and confidence of a player ten years his senior. His calmness about his own progression is obvious, as is his modest belief in his own talent’.
The Bristol Post’s report has stated that Arsenal, Stoke City, and Fulham are also keen on Dewsbury, but it’s Everton who are currently in pole position.
If the week is successful, it is expected that he will join Everton for a six-figure fee.
