Everton fans are on a high after Sunday’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa.
The Toffees moved up to 10th in the Premier League table, after Thierno Barry’s sublime finish helped David Moyes to a 10th away win since returning to the club last year.
It was a terrific away performance from Everton.
Has Harrison Armstrong done enough to stay at Everton? 🤔
Villa were the overwhelming favourites due to their brilliant home form and Everton having a number of players absent.
But the Toffees produced their best performance of the season so far, and the club are now just four points off fourth place.
Sunday’s game was yet another great day at the office for Harrison Armstrong, who played the full game at Villa Park.
And Michael Ball has given the teenager one very big compliment.

Michael Ball drops big verdict on Everton gem Harrison Armstrong

Armstrong was handed another start by Moyes, after getting his first in the Premier League against Wolves
The game against Villa was Armstrong’s biggest audition yet, and it’s safe to say that the youngster vindicated his selection.
Moyes praised Armstrong after the game, and potentially even hinted that he could now stay at the club, rather than return to Preston on loan.
For former Everton defender Michael Ball, not only is Armstrong ready, but he looks like he’s been playing ‘for years’.
He said in his Liverpool Echo column: “He’s young and still got a lot of developing still to do in terms of gaining experience, but when he’s turning out in these matches, he looks like he’s been playing for years.
“He’s very laid back but he’s got the ability and quality on the ball. What really impressed me against Aston Villa was his awareness from a technical point of view.”
Armstrong has surely given David Moyes a headache
Shortly after his recall, Moyes had been keen to return Armstrong to Preston on loan.
But the picture may well now have changed in light of these great performances from the teenager.
It must be difficult now for the Scot. Because he’s got players coming back from injury and AFCON, which could lead to a reduced role for Armstrong.

That said, he is clearly a serious talent, and Moyes may think he can genuinely compete.
But credit must go to Armstrong for what he’s done since returning. It was his job to put Moyes in a tough position and you have to say he’s done that.
Now, it’ll be fascinating to see what the decision will be with regards to his immediate future.
