Michael Keane hailed Everton teammate Gylfi Sigurdsson’s performance against Tottenham last night.
The Toffees won 5-4 in a thrilling FA Cup fifth-round encounter and Sigurdsson was instrumental against his old club.
Sigurdsson put Everton in front from the penalty spot in the first half and played a part in three more goals.
Keane told the club’s official website how happy he is for Sigurdsson, who he says has been staying behind for extra training.

“That’s the quality we see he’s got every day,” said Keane about Sigurdsson.
“I’m just really happy for him because he works so hard, puts extra training in. Gylfi’s put his penalty away really well, got three assists and his general play and work ethic was second to none.

“I thought Gylfi was outstanding. Richarlison took his goal well, as did Dom. I think everyone put in an unbelievable shift and everyone is buzzing to go through.”
Sigurdsson has responded to the challenge of battling James Rodriguez for a place in the side excellently.

He’s upped his game and is once again a playmaker who is influencing games from the number ten role.
Keane has revealed here that there’s been no shortage of hard work and he’s been going above and beyond to get back to his best.
Everton are clearing seeing the benefits right now and that means they don’t have to rely on Rodriguez for creativity every week.
