Adam Aznou was in action for Morocco’s under-23s on Monday.
The Everton left-back hasn’t had a sniff under David Moyes this season, as he still awaits his Premier League debut.
As such, Aznou, who has made three senior appearances for Morocco, was selected for the under-23s instead.
Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?
The following names have been suggested by fans on TalkingPoints…
The 19-year-old started the friendly against Ivory Coast, and he was actually playing in a different position than usual.
Moyes should take note.
Everton should use Adam Aznou as a winger after Morocco display
Aznou played as a right-winger for Morocco yesterday, and he actually got on the scoresheet with a superb goal.
The former Barcelona youngster evinced his terrific versatility, and it should inspire Moyes to use him as a winger for the remainder of the season.
Aznou did impress as a wide player for the Toffees in the FA Cup defeat to Sunderland back in January, as he won a penalty from a dazzling dribble.
After that game, Moyes did note that he’s less likely to play on the flank due to competition, although Jack Grealish has suffered a season-ending injury since then.
“We put him higher up more as a left-winger,” the Scotsman said.
“The competition to play in those roles are very, very high. So, that makes it less likely in some ways, but I was very pleased for Adam as he’s a good boy.”
Perhaps Moyes could deploy Aznou as a super-sub, using his pace and trickery to give Everton something a bit different to what Dwight McNeil and Tyler Dibling offer on the right-hand side.
It’d certainly be a challenge for the opposition full-back, as he won’t have much footage on the Moroccan to analyse.
