Everton have seemingly just been treading water whilst their Bramley-Moore Dock stadium has been under construction.
And whilst their head may have gone under at times, as the Premier League and relegation rivals seek to push further down, for now, they are still alive. Just.
But they cannot continue in the same manner. It is simply unsustainable, having come so close to falling into the Championship twice now.
Should they survive again this campaign, it truly feels like they will have escaped the worst of it, and things should only get better.
Especially given it will preface their final season in Goodison Park, before making the hotly-anticipated switch to Bramley-Moore Dock.
What the latest Bramley-Moore Dock stadium update has shown
Well, this latest update from Mister Drone UK has only increased excitement for the move more, as if that was even possible.
This is a fanbase that has clung on to any minor positivity across these past few years, which have been some of the darkest in their illustrious history.
Whether that be Sean Dyche and his steely system or Jarrad Branthwaite’s immense performances under the 52-year-old.
One particular feature is outlined by the YouTuber, who has offered regular in-depth flyovers of the construction site with impressive regularity.
It reveals how the east side’s barrel roofing is coming together nicely, which is set to offer a stunning contrast to the orange cladding whilst also being wind-resistant too. The club would even outline the painstaking detail put into this particular portion of the build too, earlier this month.
A brighter future looms for Everton
After years and years of regression and misery, this fanbase is owed some kind of light at the end of the tunnel.
The Bramley-Moore Dock stadium is just that, and should they get into it unscathed it could provide the foundation with which a much brighter future can be forged.
Especially given this shiny new arena is not just set to be a brilliant home for Evertonians to roar their team forward, but also provide a whole host of commercial opportunities that could offer numerous key financial boosts.
Sponsors will likely clamour to get a spot in the stadium, and many business owners will delight in the opportunity to acquire a box and use it for their own commercial purposes.

Given that USM are no longer able to offer a huge fee the naming rights, this is another avenue set to provide vital funds, as well as the additional 12,000 seats which will aid the process too.
The Bramley-Moore Dock stadium represents a much-needed escape from the miserable Everton of yesteryear, and can hopefully drag the club into a modern day where they will be able to challenge once again.
