Everton return to action on Saturday evening as they take on Newcastle United at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton beat Manchester United at Old Trafford with 10 men on Monday, so they’ll be full of confidence heading into this one.
David Moyes’ side look like they’re starting to turn a corner, having now won two on the bounce against United and Fulham.
Contrastingly, Newcastle United were beaten by Marseille in the Champions League on Tuesday evening and have lost three of their last five league games.
Craig Pawson announced as referee for Everton vs Newcastle United despite controversial history
Eddie Howe is actually being questioned by a lot of supporters on Tyneside now, so a lot rides on this game.
With that said, Newcastle fans all agree on what will happen at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.

Newcastle United fans convinced they’ll lose to Everton
It’s fair to say, Newcastle fans have very little belief heading into the Everton clash, especially with it being at the Hill Dickinson.
Magpies supporters have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to give their prediction for the Merseyside clash.
“Everton is the most obvious loss we will have this season. Not a chance we get even close to a result,” @CraigMidd posted.
“Onto the inevitable defeat at Everton’s new stadium,” @seaned75 said.
@ToonFan14 added: “Everton 2 (Ndiaye 47, Grealish 77) #NUFC 1 (Woltemade 24) Heard it here first.”
“Predictions for Saturday: Pope in goal, Burn in left-back & demolished in the scoresheet by Everton,” @burrolaut admitted.
@amlakredsquare commented: “I’m willing to put money on it that Pope will start at Everton over the weekend and cost us more points. Ramsdale needs a run in the team Eddie!!!!!”
“Once we lose to Everton on the weekend we need to win the next 4 or Howe needs to go,” @Swads29 said.
Everton have a winnable run of fixtures ahead
The landscape could completely change for Everton over the next three games, as they could take maximum points.
At the moment, they’re only three points adrift of the top four, so if they were to beat Newcastle on Saturday, followed by wins against Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest, they could find themselves in the Champions League spots during the festive period.

Moyes has made it clear he wants to qualify for Europe this season, so these really are games they should be targeting for three points.
Perhaps a season-defining few weeks lie ahead for Moyes’ side, who are set to be without Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye next month due to AFCON.
