Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad featured just one Everton player, Jordan Pickford, but there was a case for a few others to represent the Three Lions.
Pickford has been England’s number one goalkeeper for quite some time, and the Toffees shot-stopper just set a new record for his nation.
Joe Hart reckons Pickford has surpassed his England legacy, and the former goalkeeper has also shared an Everton concern for future England squads.
Nicky Butt is next up in the line of former Premier League footballers who have been speaking about Everton players, and the 39-cap Englishman believes Tuchel will change his mind about one Toffees star.

Nicky Butt says Jack Grealish could start for England in big games
Jack Grealish’s club form made many heads turn when Thomas Tuchel snubbed him for the latest international break.
Jamie O’Hara believes Grealish’s lack of pace puts Tuchel off selecting him, meanwhile, Ben Foster believes the winger’s age has come into play.
Either way, Grealish was deserving of a call-up, and Nicky Butt believes he could start big games for England.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Butt said, “I think if there’s a big game, a semi-final, everyone’s fit, Bellingham will be playing, and Foden will be playing.
“To be fair to Jack Grealish, he’s been a revelation for Everton this year. So, he could be in with a shout to start as well.”
Grealish’s last England cap came against Finland a year ago on the 13th of October, 2024. The Everton loan star scored as the Three Lions ran out as 3-1 winners.
At the moment, the former Aston Villa man is playing at a high level, and if he continues performing how he is, then he’ll no doubt force Tuchel to include him in his World Cup plans.
November international break could be chance for Jack Grealish to impress
Although the international break has just started, the countdown to the next one is already underway.
After October, England return to action on the 13th of November, and that offers Grealish another opportunity to get in the good books of Thomas Tuchel.
The Everton man will need to continue to impress in domestic football to be in with a chance of making the squad, but based on current form, that should not be an issue.
The Toffees have some tough games coming up, and the loanee will not be available for their game against Manchester City.
The loan agreement bans the player from playing against his parent club.

However, Tottenham at home offers the winger a chance to showcase his talents against strong opposition, and making the World Cup squad is no doubt on his mind.
