On Thursday night, Everton will begin their FA Cup campaign against fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace.
Sean Dyche will be desperate to bounce back into the win column on Thursday night against Crystal Palace. The game comes as Everton sit in the midst of a four game losing streak.
This leaving the mood around Goodison Park vastly different to what it was before a loss to Fulham on penalties kicked off this run.
This game being in the FA Cup third round, it’s likely that Dyche makes some alterations to his line-up as it’s a good chance to rest some overused players.
Michael Keane could be dropped as he hasn’t quite been up to scratch lately. Meanwhile 19-year-old Jenson Metcalfe could on the opposite be in line to make his first start for Everton.
Outside of those two, there is another player who has the opportunity to impress Dyche – and it could be his final chance.

Arnaut Danjuma has a chance to impress Dyche
Arnaut Danjuma‘s future at Everton is teetering on a knife edge right now, with Lyon circling as the Dutchman considers his future.
Danjuma was lauded as a ‘nightmare’ for defenders by Kevin Phillips back in 2022 as the former player raved about the winger. However, this is a level of praise which he has failed to live up to thus far in his Everton career.
Used as a rotation player, Danjuma has found himself stuck behind both Jack Harrison and Dwight McNeil in the pecking order.
However, it’s probable that against Palace he is given a chance in the starting line-up, which could be his final chance.
Dyche could end up seeing the best form of Danjuma here given the high stakes and importance of a solid performance for the £52k-a-week ace.
If Danjuma doesn’t start here he could be on his way out
On the other hand, if Danjuma does find himself once again not starting – it could be the deciding factor in his decisions this window.
We argued yesterday that Dyche should allow the winger to go, and if he’s not going to start him in the cup, then he might aswell go ahead of terminate the loan.
The move doesn’t seem to be working for any party involved, and tonight could be huge.
