Not just Jarrad Branthwaite, another player could now leave Everton in January

Everton are a club that has been grossly underperforming for years now, with Sean Dyche seemingly the only competent leader they have had for as long as many can remember.

Farhad Moshiri is the figurehead who has nosedived the historic outfit, with his clueless managerial decisions giving way to the transfer nightmare they have endured too.

As such, the Toffees have been forced into the sales of some of their key assets, just to balance the books. After all, the departure of Anthony Gordon was not even so they could spend. It was seemingly just to survive.

Well, with Jarrad Branthwaite’s continued performances for the club reaching elite heights, the Englishman has unsurprisingly started to command some interest too.

Although a January exit might be tough to sanction, should clubs meet the £100m asking price, there is no reason why he would not depart Goodison Park.

However, one star who seems far more likely to leave is Arnaut Danjuma, with fresh reports from Spain suggesting Villarreal would consider recalling the Dutchman should he continue to be snubbed.

The 26-year-old has made just three Premier League starts this season.

How good has Jarrad Branthwaite been for Everton?

For Everton fans everywhere, the growing interest in Branthwaite comes as a surprise to nobody.

He is their shining light at the moment, and the ease with which he has taken to top-level football is remarkable.

However, it is not just his maturity and technical quality alone that is drawing praise, with a number of other assets adding to his huge price tag.

After all, he is English, and with his continued performances cannot be far away from the national team. Not only that, but a left-footed centre-back is a precious commodity nowadays, especially one so incredibly fast and tall.

Then, in the Premier League, the 21-year-old is averaging an impressive 1.8 interceptions, 2.1 tackles, 5.1 clearances and 6.9 ball recoveries per game, via Sofascore.

A true titan at the back, it is no surprise that he has been a mainstay for a side boasting renewed solidity, with their goals conceded, 20, set to be nowhere near the 57 they shipped last campaign.

Danjuma might mark a separate blow, as an ‘outstanding’ asset in the eyes of former boss Eddie Howe, but to lose him would mark a far smaller issue than if Branthwaite jumped ship next month.
