Nottingham Forest have sacked Ange Postecoglou after just eight games in charge and now a former Everton manager is emerging as their number one target to take over.
After Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea yesterday, owner Evangelos Marinakis sacked Ange Postecoglou just 18 minutes after the full-time whistle.
Former Everton manager Sean Dyche has been strongly linked to Forest, although he isn’t actually the first choice.
Marinakis has actually made a different former Toffees boss his priority target to take the reins from Postecoglou.

Nottingham Forest make Marco Silva their number one target
According to The Guardian, Nottingham Forest have made former Everton manager Marco Silva their leading candidate to take over.
The Fulham boss is thought to be interested in leaving Craven Cottage for the City Ground, with Europa League football on offer.
Although, his buyout clause is around £13m, which is excessive considering his contract expires at the end of the season.
Silva worked under Marinakis when he was Olympiakos manager, so the pair have an existing relationship.
Marco Silva will need time at Nottingham Forest
Since Silva’s departure from Everton and subsequent success at Fulham, many supporters believe it was a mistake to sack him.
Farhad Moshiri only gave the Portuguese boss 18 months in the job, but clearly with patience and the right recruitment, he’s a top manager.
That may be hard to come by at Forest, though, as Marinakis has made it clear he wants instant success after outlaying in excess of £200m in the summer.
Postecoglou was given just five weeks, so Silva will have to seriously consider whether Forest will allow him sufficient time to implement his methods.
