Sue Smith was left really impressed with Everton during their win over Aston Villa.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Sue Smith praised the Toffees for their performance off the ball as they claimed back-to-back wins for the first time in over a year.
Everton headed into the Carabao Cup clash at Villa Park in high spirits after they picked up their first three points of the campaign with a convincing victory over Brentford at the weekend.
Despite a nervy ending, Everton put on another promising display against Villa as goals from James Garner and Dominic Calvert-Lewin sent them through to the fourth round of the Cup.
The Toffees had a huge helping hand as Unai Emery’s side put on a very poor performance on home soil. However, that didn’t prevent plenty of praise for Sean Dyche’s men.

Speaking after their second goal in the Midlands, Smith said: “Everton look so organised off the ball. They’re pressing so well and forcing Aston Villa to make errors. They have defended really well so far.”
Aston Villa piled the pressure on in the second half and eventually got one back through Boubacar Kamara, however Everton continued to impress and will now await to see who they face in the next round.
Garner grabbed his first goal in an Everton shirt and was one of the best players on the pitch at Villa Park – making six successful tackles and completing three dribbles.
The Merseyside club will now look to pick up maximum points from their next two games as they take on Luton Town and Bournemouth.
