Everton are back in Premier League action this weekend as they take on Sunderland.

David Moyes faces his former side at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in a must-win game if they’re to qualify for Europe.

Everton probably have to win their last two games of the season and rely on other results to get into the top seven.

Everton heavy favourites to beat Sunderland

Everton were held to a score draw in the reverse fixture against Sunderland, with Granit Xhaka cancelling out Iliman Ndiaye’s wondergoal.

These two sides also met each other in the FA Cup third round back in January, and that too was a 1-1 draw, although Sunderland won on penalties.

Opta’s supercomputer sees a conclusive winner this time around, as Moyes’ side have been made the heavy favourites.

Sunday marks the final home game of the season for Everton! 😳

The software has given the Toffees a 52.7% chance of winning, with the visitors only 23.5% likely to come away with three points.

A draw is deemed 23.8% likely, so evidently, the underlying data is heavily in favour of the hosts, despite a poor run of form.

Interestingly, the last five meetings have resulted in Everton winning three, so they have every reason to be confident.

The Black Cats are also winless in their last four Premier League games, so they head into the clash with bruised confidence.
