Former Everton forward Oumar Niasse has now sent a five-word message to fans after the Toffees’ 3-1 win at Brentford.

Sean Dyche’s side returned from the capital with their first three points of the season, overcoming the Bees with an emphatic victory.

Indeed, it was a superb team performance with standout individual displays throughout, notably with forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin back amongst the goals.

His strike with 20 minutes to go sealed the points for Everton, and his former teammate Oumar Niasse was clearly pleased to see the England international on the scoresheet.

Taking to Instagram, the former Senegal striker posted a story of DCL coolly finishing past Brentford keeper Mark Flekken with the text: “Things we love to see.”

Niasse became something of a cult figure at the Toffees owing to his mistreatment by former boss Ronald Koeman, who infamously took away his first team locker.

The forward had subsequent loan spells at Hull City and Cardiff City, but ultimately outlasted Koeman at Everton with the Dutch coach sacked in 2017.

Indeed, Niasse remained on Everton’s books until his contract expired in 2020, leaving with a record of eight Premier League goals in 35 games.

The former Senegalese forward clearly formed a bond with the Goodison crowd and was evidently pleased for his ex-teammate Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Calvert-Lewin’s first goal of the campaign could hopefully kickstart the 26-year-old’s season after an injury-plagued couple of years.

The England international has already suffered a facial fracture this season following a collision with Aston Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez and played against Arsenal recently wearing a protective mask.

However, a return to full fitness and a first goal of the season under his belt feels like a huge step in the right direction for Everton’s star striker.
