Everton have plenty to look forward to with the new stadium in the works and the Friedkin Group looking to complete their takeover.
Farhad Moshiri looks like he’ll finally be able to sell his shares at Everton after agreeing the sale to AS Roma’s current owners The Friedkin Group.
It was reported just over a week ago that the Everton takeover is progressing well and a date of November could be on the cards if things continue.
There has been a slight setback with the Friedkin Group with all the court issues that emerged, but that doesn’t seem to be a worry at this moment in time.
Dan Friedkin has plans to remain as AS Roma owner too, regardless of if Everton are acquired.
However, one club owner doesn’t appear too fond of their move as he took a sly dig recently.

Claudio Lotito takes sly dig at the Friedkin Group’s decision to buy Everton
Claudio Lotito is the current owner of Serie A club Lazio.
However, he’s not had the best of times as owner himself, with Lazio fans slamming Lotito after a negative result earlier on this year on social media.
Now, he’s decided to offer his view indirectly on takeovers elsewhere.
As per Roma Forever, Lotito had this to say.
“Foreign clubs? First of all, I have to enhance Lazio. I am President with passion, pleasure, enthusiasm, spirit of service. I cultivate the economic aspect in other activities”.
The Friedkin’s stance on owning another club
Here’s what the Friedkin Group had to say recently when speaking on owning AS Roma and Everton (as per Liverpool Echo).
“We remain active investors in the sports industry. We love the beautiful game. The potential addition of Everton to our portfolio does not alter our focus on AS Roma.
“If anything, the multi-club symbiosis will only help Roma. Each club in our portfolio operates independently and AS Roma remains at the heart of our football ambitions.
“Rest assured, our commitment of time, resources, and energy to Roma will not be diminished. Our goal is clear – to see AS Roma consistently compete at the highest levels of European football.”
