England are into their first ever European Championship final after last night’s 2-1 win over Denmark.

Jordan Pickford was finally beaten for the first time in the entire tournament but the Three Lions came from behind to win.

Pickford has already won the Golden Glove because his tally of five clean sheets cannot be bettered by anyone else.

And after the game, he took to Instagram to send a message which celebrated the victory.

He made reference to the lyrics of Sweet Caroline, which has become a kind of unofficial anthem for England this summer.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin came off the bench against Ukraine on Saturday but wasn’t even in the 23-man squad last night.

He posted a photo of the whole squad and coaches celebrating together with a simple message: ‘See you Sunday’.

It’s not been easy for Calvert-Lewin this summer. He’s Everton’s main man but knows he’ll play second fiddle to Harry Kane on international duty.

But one of the cornerstones of the squad’s success has been their togetherness and spirit.

And it’s the players who aren’t playing who set the tone for that and it appears Calvert-Lewin has been the consummate professional in that regard.
