Everton should be very pleased that their attempts to sign Southampton forward Che Adams were not successful as he has been struggling in the Championship this season.
Everton made a £12million bid for Che Adams, which was rejected, and then they made £15million bid, but the signing never happened.
When the summer transfer window slammed shut, it would have probably worried fans that they didn’t manage to complete the signing.
They did manage to acquire forward Beto, but they would have like to get as much attacking depth as possible, especially with the injury history of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Now though, it looks like missing out on signing Adams was a positive for the club.

Everton should be happy that they didn’t sign Che Adams
It looked like Everton had missed out on a top forward when Adams managed to score in his first three Championship games of the season in August.
Since then, the campaign, which once looked an exciting one, has turned into one with low expectations for the striker.
Adams has not scored in the Championship since the 19th of August and hasn’t scored in his last eight games for Southampton.
Since the summer transfer window shut, Everton have seen forward Calvert-Lewin somewhat back to his best as he has managed to score three goals. Manager Sean Dyche will be very happy with the forward.

Meanwhile, summer attacking signing Beto, who has one goal, looks to be a player who could become a top problem in the Premier League.
The Toffees will be very happy they didn’t end up spending £12-15million on the 27 year-old and with the club winning their last match, they will be hoping to build momentum and push away from the relegation zone.
