Ahead of the clash in West London, the Premier League have announced the referee who will be taking charge of proceedings.
Farai Hallam appointed referee for Everton vs Brentford
The Premier League have appointed Farai Hallam as the referee for Everton’s clash against Brentford.
Hallam will be joined by the following officials.
- Assistants: Simon Bennett, Steve Meredith
- Fourth official: Andy Madley
- VAR: Michael Salisbury
- Assistant VAR: Adrian Holmes
The young referee has never actually officiated an Everton match, in fact, he’s only refereed two Premier League games in his short career.

Hallam made his top-flight debut back in January during Burnley’s 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace and then got another game under his belt in February, overseeing Manchester City’s 2-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Most of his experience has come in the Championship, as he’s stewarded 18 games in the second division.
Hallam has dished out 87 yellow cards in his 26 games, which averages out to over three per game.
The official has never shown a red card, so evidently, he’s not quick to reach for his back pocket, which could suggest the game will flow on Saturday.
Moyes has previously urged referees to allow stronger challenges as his side like to be physical.
