Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are now intensifying talks over a move for an Everton transfer target who is reportedly keen on moving to Goodison Park.
Rumour is certainly rife on the blue side of Merseyside with the Toffees reportedly eyeing several deals, both in and out of the club.
Long-term target Iliman Ndiaye is reportedly closing in on his move to Goodison Park and will provide Sean Dyche with much-needed striker cover should Dominic Calvert-Lewin depart.
The Englishman has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United – and some pundits have suggested the Toffees should be looking to sell.
Another incoming is also related to Newcastle, and Everton could have just been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Yankuba Minteh.
Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United in talks for Yankuba Minteh

Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday [29 June] that the Toffees are keen on landing the 19-year-old Gambian, who impressed on loan with Feyenoord last season.
It’s also believed Minteh views moving to Goodison Park as a priority despite interest from elsewhere.
However, irrespective of the winger’s wishes, Newcastle are reportedly intensifying talks with Nottingham Forest.
A fresh report from The Times claims that the Magpies have expressed an interest in Anthony Elanga, with Minteh potentially heading in the opposite direction.
Initially, the prospect of Elliot Anderson heading to the City Ground had emerged, but losing the influential youngster would be too significant to Eddie Howe.
With the two clubs now in discussions, Everton could have been dealt a transfer blow.
Clubs rush to meet June 30 PSR deadline
It seems that several clubs have reached an unofficial transfer deadline. To avoid being sanctioned—much like Everton were—clubs must balance the books before the end of June.
Academy players have become the centre of much of the transfer business. Clubs can generate 100% profit for the accounts, while the buying club can spread payments out.
Lewis Dobbin heading to Aston Villa and Tim Iroegbunam to Everton were examples of the two clubs looking to find safe passage through financial regulation.
Similar deals have taken place between Aston Villa and Chelsea in recent weeks.
With the rules as they are, swap deals involving younger players seem likely to be commonplace unless legislation changes occur.
