Lewis Dobbin was really highly rated during his time at Everton.
Dobbin was one of the standout players for the under-21s, and so Sean Dyche decided to promote him to the first team.
The former England youth international made 20 appearances for Everton before being sold to Aston Villa.
After limited game time with the Villans, Dobbin joined Preston North End on a season-long loan deal in the summer.
The 22-year-old made his third appearance for the Championship outfit yesterday, and here’s what their fans had to say about his display.

Preston fans blown away by Lewis Dobbin
Dobbin scored on his Preston debut last month, and he was again on the scoresheet against Middlesbrough yesterday.
The former Everton youngster blasted home a thunderous left-footed strike to open the scoring in the 2-2 draw against the league leaders.
Here is what North End fans had to say about Dobbin on X, formerly known as Twitter.
@PNEPatter posted: “That moment from Dobbin is something we haven’t seen in a Preston shirt for a long while. What a goal.”
“Lewis Dobbin. Ye I like you a lot,” @HParkz10 commented.
@PnefcA added: “Wow Dobbin is special.”
“Dobbin is some player,” @pneadz said.
Sean Dyche was a big fan of Lewis Dobbin
Dyche, speaking back in February 2024, admitted that he was really impressed with Dobbin in training and believed he had ‘more to come’ at Everton.
“Yeah, I mean he’s been around it all season. He’s done well, he did well in preseason. We felt he had got some game time early season and bits and parts of it, but he’s still developing. You know, he’s a player who is developing. And I think he’s got more to come but we’re enjoying what he’s doing.
“He’s working very hard in training as well. And each one of these little parts of games he plays it keeps building his belief and I think that’s important.”
Ultimately, Everton were forced to sell Dobbin to Villa for PSR reasons, with Tim Iroegbunam coming the other way.
