Everton went to Old Trafford with hopes of pulling of an upset, but it didn’t work out that way as Manchester United dominated after the first 30 minutes.
Sean Dyche will be under even more pressure now after a terrible result at Old Trafford.
Everton started brightly and looked the better team in the first 30 minutes, but it was all downhill after Marcus Rashford’s striker, as Jarrad Branthwaite gifted a goal away not long after.
It got even worse in the second half as Marcus Rashford added another goal, as did Joshua Zirkzee.
One player in particular came in for some criticism from Everton fans after the game, with the defensive display far from acceptable.

Vitalii Mykolenko’s performance in numbers vs Manchester United
Vitalii Mykolenko has struggled massively this season, already being labelled a ‘weak link’ after his display against Southampton.
Despite his performances, Sean Dyche has stuck with him at left-back, with options limited at Everton due to injuries to Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson.
His performance against Manchester United wasn’t much better, as he was constantly exposed and offered little to nothing moving forward.
He lost the ball seven times, had just 33 touches, lost three out of his seven duels, and failed to make a single tackle or clearance (SofaScore).

Everton fans react to Vitalii Mykolenko’s display vs Manchester United
Many Everton fans, when speaking on X, all vented their frustration at Mykolenko.
@shrekfacethema1 wasn’t happy: “Branthwaite all over the shop, Mykolenko looks league 2 at best this season,”
@CT1695 mentioned: “Mykolenko has to be one of the worst defenders we have seen in an Everton shirt in a long long time!”
@DylanBurston2 commented: “Can’t blame that just on Tarkowski. Mykolenko was absolute shocking there.”
