Everton’s Lucas Digne has talked up the importance of Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s return to fitness.
The England international was back for the game at Arsenal last Friday night and helped the Toffees to a 1-0 win.
His form has been impacted by injury recently, but Digne told the club’s official website that Calvert-Lewin remains crucial at the business end of the season.
Everton have had absentees to contend with for much of the season, but Digne was pleased that seems to be easing now.

“It is totally different, he changes our way,” said Digne of Calvert-Lewin.
“He can keep the ball easily in front and occupy defenders of the opposing team,” said Digne.

“He is an important player for us, he can keep the ball and score with his head and feet.
“He is a really good player and we need him. Maybe it is the first week of the year we have all the team and it is good for the final rush.
“It is really important for us to have the whole squad and competition in all positions to push everybody.”

The win at Arsenal means that Everton’s European hopes remain alive.
The Toffees sit eighth but will go above Tottenham and Liverpool into sixth if they win their game in hand.
If Calvert-Lewin can get back amongst the goals, it would be perfect timing for Digne and Everton.
