After being asked by a concerned Saints fan if he thinks Dibling will leave, Blackmore responded: “Yes – if Everton just creep up a couple of million to get the 40m package Saints are sticking to.”

Despite Southampton wanting £50 million, Blackmore is suggesting otherwise, with this package considered.

It’s looking clear that it is a matter of a couple of million and not a wide margin, so there is every chance this deal gets completed.

The fee will be between the £40 million-£50 million mark, that’s a certainty, and it’s a signing that makes serious movements in this transfer window.

Tyler Dibling transfer would take Everton transfer spend past £100m mark

There have been shouts from Toffees supporters to show ambition, and Dibling’s transfer would tick that box.
