Eurosport have produced a report of what could happen at Everton during the January transfer window.

It largely concerned the makeup of Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield, despite the amount of work Ancelotti did on it during the summer.

Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure came to Goodison Park ahead of the season as Ancelotti shaped the squad to his taste.

But the report claims he’s not done yet – with two players potentially not part of the future and one target.

Gylfi Sigurdsson played and scored the winner against Chelsea last weekend.

But his long term future is apparently not certain, with the report claiming it may not be at Goodison.

That also goes for Tom Davies, who also may end up plying his trade elsewhere.

There’s no concrete indication they’ll be out of the door in January, but the long-term signs aren’t great, apparently.

Everton apparently want a new arrival with international credentials.

Sami Khedira is a former Ancelotti player at Real Madrid and has been in contact with the Italian about a move to Merseyside.

He’s reportedly keen on the prospect of playing in the Premier League and will be allowed to leave Juventus when the window opens.

With Allan’s injury and Jean-Philippe Gbamin returning from injury, it could be intriguing to see what happens in the Toffees engine room in the coming weeks.
