Everton will complete the signing of Youssef Chermiti today.
That’s according to Record Portugal, who have claimed the Toffees could present their new striker to the fans as early as this afternoon.
Despite only turning 19 in May, Chermiti made 22 appearances in all competitions for Sporting Lisbon last season – netting three goals and providing two assists.
The Portugal youth international has even received heaps of praise from Luis Figo, who told O Jogo: “[Chermiti] is one more product of the great training that the club has. Every youngster has his stage and his years of evolution, so it’s good that at such a young age he already has that experience and opportunity to play in the first team. [He] will certainly bring many joys to Sporting.”

After seven years with Sporting, Chermiti now looks set to seal a move to Goodison Park after weeks of negotiations.
Record previously reported that Everton had agreed an initial £13 million fee for Chermiti, rising to £17m with add-ons and bonuses included.

The two parties had struggled to come to an agreement on personal terms as the deal was held up, however it was confirmed that he had arrived in England on Monday morning.
Everton could have Youssef Chermiti available for Fulham clash
With Youssef Chermiti set to confirm his arrival today, Everton could add the teenager to their match-day squad as they take on Fulham this weekend.

The striker has been present for Sporting Lisbon’s pre-season schedule so is expected to be fully fit, however he is unlikely to be handed a place in Sean Dyche’s starting line-up after only having a few days on Merseyside under his belt.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin started the Toffees’ final two pre-season friendlies and is likely to be available to start in their Premier League opener, meaning Chermiti could potentially make an appearance in the second half.
