Arnaut Danjuma is close to sealing a move to Everton.
According to Fabrizio Romano, writing on his Twitter page, Everton have reached an agreement to sign Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal.
The 26-year-old has featured in the Premier League twice before. He spent the second half of last season on loan with Tottenham Hotspur and impressed in flashes, but struggled for regular game time. Prior to that, the Dutchman had been on the books at Bournemouth, before moving to Villarreal and flourishing in La Liga.
The Spanish club had initially been thought to want £25 million for Danjuma, as reported on Twitter by Jack Rosser.
However, Romano has now stated that a loan agreement has been reached, and signed off on the story with his famous ‘here we go soon’ line.

Danjuma offers goals from out wide
If Danjuma can bring the form he showed for Villarreal in the 2021/22 season to Goodison Park, then he will be an excellent addition to Sean Dyche’s squad. The winger bagged 16 goals for the Yellow Submarines across the course of that campaign. However, he has never managed to hit such heights in English football before.
At his best, the 6-cap Netherlands international can add some of the end-product and cutting edge in the final third that the Toffees have been so desperately lacking recently. The likes of Dwight McNeil and Demarai Gray have failed to offer a potent goal threat from the wide areas. The pair managed just 11 Premier League strikes between them last time out.
Given that this is only a loan deal for Danjuma, it presents a relatively low risk from Everton’s perspective, but could have a huge pay off if the player can hit form.
