Roy Keane has admitted he expects Liam Delap to leave this summer amid links to Everton.

David Moyes is on the lookout for a new striker in the summer transfer window.

It has been well documented that Everton hold a long-standing interest in Delap, following their talks last summer prior to his Chelsea move.

Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?

Following a failed move to West London, Keane believes Delap will depart in the summer and possibly even return to Ipswich Town.

Delap’s display against Brighton was slammed earlier in the week, with the striker continuing to struggle at Chelsea.

As Chelsea experience further manager turnover, Keane thinks Delap’s spell at the club will also come to an end soon.

Who would you rather see Everton sign this summer? 🤩

“What’s he done? I know, we say he’s a young kid.” said Keane on the Stick to Football podcast.

“He’ll get a move in this, he’ll be back to Ipswich or something.”

The 23-year-old has only managed one Premier League goal following his impressive 2024/25 campaign with Ipswich.

Everton even gave Delap a tour of the new stadium last summer in an attempt to woo the striker and his camp.

His underwhelming campaign with Chelsea will leave clubs like Everton with an interesting decision to make.

Clearly, there is talent there, having scored 12 goals last season for the newly-promoted Ipswich.

But it would now prove a major gamble to make a striker with only one goal this season the main target to replace Beto.

Everton know full well through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall that Chelsea does not often bring out the best in players, but this would be a big risk for the Blues to take on.
