Seamus Coleman’s playing career at Everton has ended.
After 17 years at Everton, Seamus Coleman made the decision to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract this summer.
There is still a chance that he could remain at Finch Farm as a coach, but no decision will be made until after his holiday.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
Either way, David Moyes has lost a massive voice in the dressing room, but Coleman feels there are four players who are now considered leaders around the club and can step up in his absence.

Seamus Coleman names Everton’s four leaders
Speaking to Everton’s website, Coleman explained that there are a quartet of players who will lead the club forward alongside the manager and coaching staff.
“It’s important that, as you move on, the standards are passed on and we’ve got that,” the 36-year-old stated.
“We’ve got Jordan (Pickford), Tarky (Tarkowski), (James) Garner and Kiernan (Dewsbury-Hall), among others. So there’s so many of them stepping up into that role.
“It’s important they keep relaying that message and it’s important they get to know the fanbase. It’s important the fanbase keep pushing them because, ultimately, as I’ve said so many times, it’s a massive football club. And we’re fortunate to be here and we have to wear that shirt with pride.”
What are you thoughts on Alan Myers hailing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as a future Everton captain? 🤔
As Alan Myers said above, there is a feeling that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could become Everton captain in the next couple of years, or so.
James Tarkowski and Jordan Pickford are both coming towards the end of their careers, so Dewsbury-Hall feels like the natural successor.
The 27-year-old made a tremendous impact at the club in his first season since joining from Chelsea, registering 14 goal involvements from midfield.
