Braiden Graham has been called up for senior Everton training this week.

David Moyes has finally rewarded the 18-year-old Everton prospect on the back of another impressive performance with the U21s.

Doubts still hang over whether Graham will be able to work his way into the squad for the game on Monday against Manchester City.

Who would you rather see in Monday’s squad to face Man City? 🫣

Seamus Coleman shows David Moyes how to nurture Everton’s Braiden Graham

In recent weeks, Moyes has told Graham he has more to prove before he can be considered in the running to make his senior debut.

The main question lies over the 18-year-old’s stature and how he would cope in the Premier League.

Let us know your predictions ahead of Monday’s huge match on Merseyside! 😬

With a lot of comments being made by Moyes about Graham, Coleman was spotted speaking privately with the youngster in training.

This is the exact type of mentoring that Graham needs right now.

Clearly, the 18-year-old is too good for the youth leagues, with the prospect of a loan move growing by the week.

However, instead of allowing Graham to waste his talent in the Premier League 2, his involvement in senior training is exposing him to a taste of the men’s game.

Graham was called up to senior training for Thursday, but is expected to return to U21 action on Friday against Brentford.

The manner in which Coleman has welcomed him to the group should be taken on board by Moyes, who has a big responsibility for nurturing the young talent.

Graham needs an arm around the shoulder from Moyes

There is a lot of debate currently surrounding how Moyes is treating some of his youngsters on Merseyside.

One of the biggest examples of this is Tyler Dibling.

Everton remain calm over Dibling’s future, but the 20-year-old has barely played any football this season under Moyes.

The same can be said for Tyrique George, Adam Aznou, Harrison Armstrong, and so on.

It feels unlikely that the 63-year-old will change his ways at this stage of his career, but Coleman is showing him exactly what is needed with players like Graham.

Perhaps it is a case of Moyes has entrusted Coleman to look after the youngsters in situations just like this.

But make no mistake about it, Everton have a real talent on their hands and they cannot afford to see his potential go to waste.
