Sean Dyche has praised one of his former players ahead of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League match against Everton.
Forest visited the Hill Dickinson Stadium earlier this month, losing 3-0, and Dyche will now welcome his old club to the City Ground.
The 54-year-old is fully focused on his current job, but he still has some fond memories from his time on Merseyside.
Indeed, the Englishman had plenty of nice things to say about one Everton player who left a lasting impression.

What would be your starting XI vs Forest? 🤔
Sean Dyche sings Seamus Coleman’s praises before Forest vs Everton
Dyche was asked about Seamus Coleman’s impact on the Everton team in his press conference ahead of Tuesday’s game.
The Irishman has barely played over the last few seasons, but Dyche knows firsthand just how important he is to the club.
The former Toffees boss commended Coleman’s professionalism, especially his ability to put Everton’s interests before his own.
“Well, he’s a brilliant clubman, without doubt,” Dyche responded to Jim Conlan. “He’s a fantastic professional and player, and he’s just had his fair share of injuries. He had too many with us, which he knew. It’s very frustrating.

“He was super fit, by the way, the last season I was there, and when I saw him this season, he had another injury. So, he’s very unlucky because he certainly keeps himself right.
“He’s a brilliant professional, and every manager that has ever come across him always says the same. He’s very much a club-minded person.
“He can link with a manager, and once they’re gone, it’s like, ‘Good to see you,’ and he moves on, thinking about the club first and the manager second. He deserves a lot of credit for that because it’s not easy to do.”
Is David Moyes too negative? 🤔
How many minutes has Seamus Coleman played this season?
Seamus Coleman has been Everton’s club captain for the last six seasons, including the two years Sean Dyche was in charge.
However, the right-back missed many of the Toffees’ games under Dyche due to injury, and he is having the same problem under David Moyes.
Indeed, Coleman has played just 180 minutes in all competitions this season, with only 12 coming in the Premier League.
The 36-year-old, who is currently out with a hamstring problem, has not played 30 games in a league campaign since 2021/22.
So, despite his huge influence on the club, the Everton legend looks likely to leave when his contract expires in the summer.
