With Everton’s next clash on the horizon, marking their final match before another international break, fans will be desperate to depart on a high note after their recent return to form.

Having won five and drawn one of their last eight matches across all competitions, their resurgence has been sensational. It would be hard to not admire the way in which a club that has been beaten down so relentlessly continues to pull itself back up and keep fighting.

Much of that reignited spirit can be attributed to Sean Dyche’s methods, who actually spoke earlier today in his pre-match press conference.

Although Crystal Palace are the team they are set to face, much of the questions directed at the 52-year-old surrounded his team, recent reports and alternative speculation.

One reporter would even question the whereabouts of Dele Alli, who has been in the media this week after Dyche had revealed how knowledgeable the midfielder seemed on his philosophy.

Whilst he admitted he was far from a return on the pitch, this tactical insight led the interviewer to suggest a future in management might be on the cards. With a wry smile, the former Burnley boss claimed: ‘Who knows? But he’s certainly had a lot of experiences that might stand him in good stead later on in life if he decides to go down that route.’

How good was Dele Alli?

Whilst that potential chapter of his career might be one touted now, he still has plenty of unfinished business as a player before he graduates into management.

After all, the immense talent of the 27-year-old will still remain even if it has been kept under wraps in recent years.

A well-documented emotional turmoil bubbled over during his heartfelt interview with Gary Neville, as he spoke honestly to reveal the demons of his past that still plagued him today.

Having made great progress, the entire country awaits to see if he can recapture the form that once saw him viewed as one of the world’s most exciting young talents.

With 18 goals and nine assists across just his second Premier League season since joining from MK Dons, everyone knew the name of the attacking midfielder destined for greatness.

He became an integral cog in one of Tottenham Hotspur’s greatest sides in recent memory, as a consistent offensive threat from deep, and would leave having amassed a total of 128 goal contributions across just 269 games.

Dele now marks one of the few players in the game who will remain universally supported as he continues his Everton comeback, with a bright future potentially awaiting him after he has completed his playing career.
