Jarrad Branthwaite is a very sought-after man, and Sean Dyche has now come out and given his viewpoint on Liverpool’s interest in the Everton star.
It’s natural for players to attract attention from the top six in the Premier League when they’re performing at a level deemed better than the club they’re at.
Everton has several high-quality players, but Jarrad Branthwaite and Dwight McNeil are probably the only two who have shown consistently that they have what it takes to potentially reach the top.
The latter grabbed a brace last time out against Crystal Palace in his new number 10 role.
Branthwaite has only just returned from injury and will be looking to get a good run of games under his belt, but it was performances last season that really caught the eye.
Interestingly, Sean Dyche in his press conference ahead of Everton vs Newcastle United, spoke about the links involving Liverpool and Branthwaite.

Sean Dyche’s stance on Jarrad Branthwaite leaving is revealed
Liverpool have been registering an interest in signing Branthwaite ahead of the January window.
Numerous reports have come out regarding the interest, with the Liverpool Echo stating that the club feel they’re in a strong position when it comes to deciding whether to sell or keep Branthwaite.
The one man whose opinion counts is Sean Dyche, and he gave a bit more information on the situation regarding Branthwaite in his press conference on Everton’s YouTube when asked about Liverpool.
“I think I said in the summer about any player at Everton Football Club, you know it’s a worldwide market now, it’s not just about one plate.
“You know the way the games games, everyone certainly in Europe the transfer sort of situation has opened up. So it’s not a surprise that good players are linked with other clubs.
“That’s just the way it goes, the nature of it. I said it in the summer he’d be staying here, he is, so that’s good.
He was then asked are you confident of keeping him in January, to which he responded.
“Look, I mean the club has a situation in which it will still be looking upon.
“Obviously, if the new ownership does go through, that might change things, you know, financially or from the viewpoint of where the club is at and where it wants to go. But we don’t know that yet, so we’ll have to just wait and see.”
Can Everton afford to lose Branthwaite?
In their current form, Everton would struggle without the youngster who has been so crucial at keeping things intact at the back over the past year.
But, at a potential price of £70 million, there does come a time when you need to accept big profits.
However, similar to what Dyche is saying, if the new owners come in and money isn’t an issue then by all means the club can try and keep hold of him.
But, there are other things like PSR that need to be thought about.
