Sean Dyche now must include Demarai Gray in his starting line-up

The UNBELIEVABLE Rise And FALL Of Southampton.

Since Sean Dyche arrived at Everton, Demarai Gray has found himself on the bench for the last three games and was an unused substitute in the 1-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday.

Signed by Rafa Benitez for £1.7m from Bayern Leverkusen in July 2021, Gray quickly became a key player under Benitez scoring three goals in his first four games for Everton.

He was labelled as ‘electric‘ by Garth Crooks early last season.

Under Frank Lampard, Gray played in every game but since Lampard’s sacking he’s only played 29 minutes as a substitute in the defeat away to Liverpool last Monday and was once again unused on the weekend for the second time in three games.

Gray, who won Goal of the Month for his goal away at Manchester City in December, is the only player in the current Everton squad who has the ability to beat players with trickery and pace.

Sean Dyche now needs to find a way to fit Demarai Gray into his Everton team.

Time for Dyche to put Demarai Gray in Everton’s starting line-up

Labelled by Rio Ferdinand as an ‘unbelievable find‘ on his YouTube only last month, Gray has been exactly that since signing for Everton and has a return of 17 goal contributions in 63 games.

Dwight McNeil has replaced Gray in the starting line up and Alex Iwobi who played centrally under Lampard has found himself on the opposite flank since Dyche took over.

However, Dyche now needs to find a way to fit Demarai Gray into his Everton starting line up sooner rather than later.
