Everton manager Sean Dyche has admitted he’s been impressed by talented youngster Lewis Dobbin‘s training while speaking to club media.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a solid breakout season which has even seen him grab his first goal.
Here’s what Dyche has said about the Toffees young talent…

Sean Dyche admits being impressed by Lewis Dobbin’s training attitude
Speaking with the press on Thursday ahead of a tricky task against Manchester City on Saturday, Dyche was quizzed on Dobbin.
The Everton boss was asked about his plans for the forward and whether he plans to give him further game time. To this, Dyche failed to ensure the Everton ace’s minutes increased but did admit that he’s been impressed.
“Yeah, I mean he’s been around it all season. He’s done well, he did well in preseason. We felt he had got some game time early season and bits and parts of it, but he’s still developing. You know, he’s a player who is developing. And I think he’s got more to come but we’re enjoying what he’s doing.
“He’s working very hard in training as well. And each one of these little parts of games he plays it keeps building his belief and I think that’s important.”
How has Lewis Dobbin performed for Everton this season?
This campaign has already seen Dobbin make 11 senior appearances for Everton, adding to his two from the 2021-22 season.
Of his 11 appearances, eight have come in the Premier League with his single goal coming against Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Despite being in double figures, he’s only played 228 senior minutes with just 170 coming in the league.
He’s impressed particularly against Chelsea and Spurs in the last couple of months with at least a 7/10 match rating in both, despite playing four minutes against Chelsea and 15 vs Spurs.
Dobbin will be desperate to see his game time increase but to do so he’ll need to be patient and impress Dyche more than he has done already.
